CBES Ltd & TRS it's H&S training division celebrates success in the RoSPA Awards 2012
CBES Ltd & TRS it's H&S training division, has had its approach to the prevention of accidents and ill health recognised in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2012.The Gold Medal (5 consecutive Gold’s) and Winner of the Scotland Trophy will be presented at a ceremony at the Hilton Glasgow on Thursday, September 20th.
Dating back to 1956, the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards scheme is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK. It recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention and is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. The scheme does not just look at accident records, but also entrants’ overarching health and safety management systems, including important practices such as strong leadership and workforce involvement.
David Rawlins, awards manager at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), a safety charity with a 95-year history, said: “The RoSPA Awards programme provides well-deserved recognition for the winners and spurs on other organisations to raise their standards of accident and ill health prevention. We congratulate CBES Ltd on its success and encourage it, and all our other winners, to remain committed to safety and health, an approach that is well recognised to be good for workers and the bottom line.”
Fraser Allan, Head of CBES HSEQ commented.
"This year we have been awarded the RoSPA Gold Medal, in itself is a great achievement. However, being awarded the RoSPA Scotland Trophy in addition was certainly unexpected, particularly when you realise the high performing businesses and calibre of competition CBES have been selected from. It is an award that we are delighted to receive and are honoured to have been recognised by RoSPA in this way. CBES is committed to providing Constructive Solutions to our colleagues and health, safety and the environment and the awards recognise and underpin that we are a business that seeks continuous improvement and excellence in HSE through the buy in and energy of our colleagues. The RoSPA Scotland Trophy and Gold Medal is testimony to the commitment, hard work and effort of all of our colleagues and supply chain partners within CBES and it is this team effort that makes achieving such recognitions possible. We are very proud to be awarded both these accolades".
